Start by creating a new file of the poster size. Fill the background color with solid red as shown below.


Insert an image of the main cast.Our image has a white background which will be removed using multiply layer style. If you have an image with a background that is not a solid color or have some background elements, you can always create a cutout using your favorite cutout method.


Select the image layer and change layer mode to multiply in the layer palette.




Press 'D' to reset the foreground and background color.
