In this tutorial we will design a navigation panel. The design is quiet generic in nature and can be applied to a host of web sites or blogs.
Start by creating a new file. We used 500 px width and 500 px height. Select Gradient tool.
Apply a nice gradient in linear mode to the background.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
In layer palette double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown.
